Well, I've decided to give this blogging a try! And, since it's the first day of 2010, I thought that now would be the perfect time to start.
We had a great Christmas this year....everyone was spoiled and it was so much fun seeing Brody get excited about (and scared of) Santa Claus. I had a hunch that Santa was going to make a personal visit to our family Christmas gatherings, so in order to get Brody prepared for the big meeting, every night we would watch a personalized video message from Santa (it's done over the internet and it's the coolest thing!) Brody loved watching Santa's message, and we had our fingers crossed that when Brody would meet Santa this year, he wouldn't be tramatized for life. Well so much for the plan.....to say that their first encounter at the Cox Family Christmas didn't go so well would be an under-statement (see photo) but by the second meeting at the Kirkland Christmas, they had ironed out their differences and with the help of Mommy, things went a little more smoothly. The girls (of course) were oblivious to what was happening...but next year should be a different story:)
We didn't venture too far this year and stayed in Burlington for the rest of the holiday. We celebrated New Years quietly at home and enjoyed Chinese food and watched the World Juniors play. My, have things changed!! It's hard to believe that New Years Eve, 11 years ago, Mike and I met!! Wishing you all the best in 2010!

ReplyDeleteHi Jen
ReplyDeleteThanks for the invite. We'll keep an eye on it. The profile picture is great and we got a kick out of the christmas card. It looks like Mike is holding on to Brody, and saying "Let's get this done before he gets away". ;-]
Gord.
Yay Jenny! So glad you decided to make a blog too! Now we can keep up with what's going on with both your's and Christine's families!
