Today, we headed to Napa Valley - I think that I can safely say that I have seen how the other half lives - WOW....talk about luxury! We had lunch at the Culinary Institute of America, went on a wine tour at the Far Niente Wine Estate and then had dinner at the Hall Winery. What an experience! At both wineries we were lucky enough to go down into the caves where they keep all the barrels of wine. It was really neat - no expense was spared at these wineries! Today's picture comes from the dinner we had in the cave of the Hall Winery....the lights behind the wine glass are a chandlier that was bigger than my kitchen and likely cost more than Mike's car, the stonework on the walls and ceiling of the cave were brought in from Austria - it was absolutely lovely and I've never experienced anything like it!
