Three of my Great Uncles fought in WWII, and I have always been intrigued by their stories and experiences while in the war. I can't imagine what it must have been like to experience war first hand. When my Uncles went oversees, they were teenagers or barely out of their teens. They saw and experienced things that no one should have to...but these young men and women did it all so that we may enjoy the freedom and luxuries that we do today. They are HEROS and we must always remember the great sacrifice that they made for us.
On Remembrance Day, I think of my Uncles - Jack Bowers, Sandy MacCharles and Roy Charles. I am reminded of how brave, strong and determined they were. Above all else, I am proud them.
To all the men and women that have fought and continue to fight for our freedom, from the bottom of my heart....Thank you.
