Just when you think you have the upper hand, children will throw a wrench in it. Everynight, we let the kids have an Oreo cookie if they finish their dinner. This had been working like a charm - until tonight. Kaitlyn "appeared" to have finished her dinner and asked me for a cookie - which she literally inhaled and then got the heck out of dodge...seriously, it was the fastest I've seen her eat and leave the table. Little did I know that she had been hiding her chicken fingers on her chair...sneaky, sneaky Kaitlyn - I'm on to you now!
