Just when I was beginning to think that we were almost through with cold and flu season - I wake up to hear Chloe "barking like a seal". I immediately thought that it was croup, so the two of us headed outside so she could breath in some cold air. Unfortunately, that didn't help and she continued wheezing. There is a walk-in clinic by our house that opens at 7:30am, which gave us just enough time to get ourselves ready to go see the doctor and hopefully not have to wait long. After a chest x-ray and an hour and half later, they determined that she has the beginning stages of pneumonia. She's doing fine - in fact, if it wasn't for the cough, you wouldn't know she was sick. So, hopefully we are on the last round of puffers and antibiotics for the season. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's not as bright as it was yesterday. Get well soon Chloe -ox
